COVID-19 Safety Policies

MASK USE

The Mandatory Face Covering Order (Mask Mandate) has been repealed. While the PHO states that masks are no longer mandatory, RGA requires that visitors/participants over the age of 5 years(who are not participating in class) wear a mask when accessing/using the facility(until further notice). This is for continued safety of our participants and staff. PLEASE bring your own mask! RGA does not provide masks to visitors.

SPECTATING

Parents/members are welcome to observe classes as long as vaccination requirements are fulfilled and the viewing area does not get crowded. All members, participants and staff will continue to have a shared responsibility to maintain and promote safe and healthy engagement in sport.

Proof of Vaccine Requirements- in place until April 7, 2022

Proof of Vaccine Requirements vary depending on the role and age of the individual:

  • Vaccine Cards are required by spectators (12+) to observe sport activities. Two doses are required.

  • Vaccine Cards are required by adult participants (22+) to participate in sport activities. Two doses are required.

  • Vaccine Cards are required by all individuals leading, supporting or assisting a sport activity, but who are not working as an employee. Two doses are required.

    • This means that all parents/guardians in parent assisted programming (e.g., parent and tot), and all other volunteers of any kind must provide proof of full vaccination (2 doses) to club personnel.

      Updated BC Gathering and Events Order

Starting Friday, April 8th, the BC Vaccine Card system will no longer be required by any members of the Gymnatsics BC community at daily training or events/competitions.

General Health and Safety

  • All participants must be in good health when accessing the facility.

  • As per the revised guidelines of BC CDC, here are some directions one should take if you have any COVID related symptoms, or have tested positive for COVID 19 or have been in touch with anybody who tested positive for COVID 19.

    • Any person, vaccinated or unvaccinated, if has tested positive for COVID19, must isolate for minimum 5 days starting from the day of appearance of symptoms and can return only once they are completely symptom free.

    • Any person, unvaccinated, who has come in close contact with anybody who has tested positive for COVID 19, must not enter the facility for at least 5 days, and must monitor their health and possible symptoms. If the person is fully vaccinated, they must monitor their health and symptoms before choosing to access the facility.

Mask use

All individuals (age 5+) must wear masks in all indoor public spaces – except athletes who are in the field of play. Updated BC Mask Mandate

Facility cleaning and sanitization protocols

Our cleaning products have been approved by Health Canada to disinfect for Sars-Cov-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. The staff/volunteers will continue their enhanced cleaning protocols, which is in addition to the regularly scheduled cleaning.

Gatherings and Spectators

There are no limits for gathering sizes or spectators at gatherings and events as of February 17, 2022. However, the Association reserves the right to limit the number of spectators in the parent viewing area at any given time.

All COVID-19 requirements will be reviewed/updated by mid March and mid April, 2022.
